How can I get involved with Sewing for Jesus?

You can join as a volunteer, donate fabric or funds, or help spread our mission through prayer and sharing.

Where do the dresses we make go?

Our dresses are sent with trusted missionaries and nonprofit partners to communities across the U.S., Africa, Central America, and beyond. They’re given to girls in need—often in orphanages, schools, or areas vulnerable to human trafficking or poverty.

What materials do you accept for donations?

We welcome cotton fabrics of all kinds (and ribbon) suitable for making durable, comfortable dresses.

Is Sewing for Jesus operated by paid staff?

No, we are fully volunteer-driven and supported by donations and prayer.

When does Sewing for Jesus meet?

We meet and sew every Monday from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Evangel Church

Do I need to register to join?

No, you do not need to register to volunteer your time.

Can I donate funds?

Bringing Hope to Girls Through Handmade Dresses

Sewing for Jesus is devoted to crafting beautiful cotton dresses, each with a heart-shaped pocket, to share God’s love with girls in need worldwide. Our ministry thrives on faith, prayer, and community support, aiming to uplift hearts and spread kindness through every stitch.

Join us!

We meet every Monday from 10 AM to 4 PM at Evangel Church (16994 Telegraph Rd, Taylor, MI 48180). You can:

  • Join us to sew, cut fabric, iron, or help organize
  • Donate cotton fabric or supplies
  • Give a financial gift to support our ministry
  • Help spread the word through social media and your church

No sewing experience is required—we’ll teach you!
